UW Alert System Mapping Project

Our Mission

The UW Alert Mapping System is dedicated to enhancing public safety and awareness around the University of Washington campus. By providing real-time alerts on fire dispatches and emergency responses, along with past crime data, we empower students, faculty, and visitors to make informed decisions and navigate the campus safely. We believe that using data from the Seattle Fire Department and the Seattle Police Department can be a powerful tool for the U District community.

About the Team

Our team consists of 5 passionate students and developers committed to leveraging technology for public safety. With experience in geospatial mapping, data visualization, and web development, we built this project to bridge the gap between open data sources from the Seattle government and real-time safety awareness.
